Concrete is the most widely used man-made product in the world, and is second only to water as the worlds most utilized substance. It is an affordable and reliable material that is applied throughout the infrastructure of any nations construction, industrial, transportation, defence, utility, and residential sectors. In its simplest form, it is a mixture of cement paste and aggregates. For producing quality concrete, not only good quality ingredients are necessary but good rules in manufacturing concrete are also essential. The quality of the ingredients is always judged in the laboratory by performing various tests on them by following standard procedures. This manual has been prepared in order to impart efficient learning of student through outcomes based education suggested by ABET.

Presently working as Associate Professor, RIT, Rajaramnagar. He has published several papers in National/International Conferences and Journals. His research interests are concrete technology, building materials and civil engineering drawing. He has 25 years of teaching experience and associated with organizations like ISTE, ICI, ACI, ISRMTT etc.
