This book is a worthy effort to suit the practical needs of undergraduate students in the fields of science, education, engineering, agriculture, pharmacy and technical institutes. Experiments have been carefully selected from several international periodicals specialized in the field of student education, including The Chemical Educator, Journal of Chemical Education and Chemistry in Britain Magazines together with global reference books. It considers coverage of general chemistry topics such as the mole concept, redox reactions, chemical bonding, colligative properties, thermochemistry, surface chemistry, colloids, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, chromatography, ion exchange and schemes for qualitative analysis of anions, cations and mixtures of cations. Experiments have been added in environmental chemistry and an introduction on safety in the chemical laboratories has been introduced. The book ends with appendices of physical constants and laboratory reagents that fulfill the needs of the student and those in charge of the laboratories.
