Shade selection is an important procedure to provide patients with an aesthetic restoration that harmoniously blends to the patient's existing dentition. Normally, the dentist together with the patient selects the shade of a dental restoration. Porcelain provides a rich range of colors and the possibility of combining them to give artificial teeth a close to natural appearance. When porcelain restorations are designed, shade selection requires close attention. This book gives tips for clinical practice and helps dentists achieve perfect shade selection in aesthetic zone to get accurate restorative outcome.

Dr MithunUpadhya completed BDS and MDS Prosthodontics from SDMCDS Dharwad. He has multiple publications in various journals. Dr Bhargavi M has done her BDS & MDS from JSS University Mysore; both the authors are currently working as assistant prof in AJIDS Mangalore.
