Dental Neglect is a form of medical neglect. Neglect, in general, and dental neglect, in particular, are the least known and detected types of abuse, even though they are the most frequent ones. Dental neglect is seen in all age groups or all sections of society. It is one among the gray shades of the society. Dentist is at a strategic point to detect and diagnose dental neglect. They can provide valuable information and assistance to physicians and policy makers. This book outlines various aspects of dental neglect including measuring dental neglect, perceptions among health professionals & role of governmental & non governmental agencies in addressing this issue.
