This book start with simple introduction of bilayer tablet covering advantages, disadvantages and various techniques for manufacturing of bilayer tablet.Then coating technology, sustained release protocol was discussed. Our aim was to formulate bilayer tablet of a combination drug for treatment of migrain. Drug combination chosen was diclofenac and rizatriptan. Literature survey and drug and excipient profile study was performed and bilayer tablet was formulated and evaluated for various required parameter.

Dr. Kapil Kumar received his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry. Currently, He is working as an Assistant Professor at SVKM's NMIMS (Deemed to be university) Hyderabad campus India. His research interests involve pharmaceutical studies on anticancer, anti-diabetic and neglected diseases. Various publications are in his credit.
