Biometric computing offers an effective approach to identify a person by using an individual's unique reliable and stable physical and/or behavioral characteristics, and is regarded as an effective method for recognizing a person's identity with a high confidence. Palmprint is one of these biometric features which are used in such a security system because they are stable and contain lots of features such as principal lines, wrinkles, ridges, datum points, etc. and they are user-friendly. In this book, the system starts with palm acquisition, Preprocessing, feature, and matching were conducted and evaluated.

Mouad M. H. Ali was born in1980. He received the B.Sc degree from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering, Hodeidah University, Yemen in June 2003/2004. He received the M.Sc Computer Science from Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, India in 2013 and Master of Multimedia Technology M.Sc(MM).
