Beschreibung
Piston is the part of engine which converts heat and pressure energy liberated by fuel combustion into mechanical works. Engine piston is the most complex component among the automotives. This present work is design procedure for a piston for 4 stroke petrol engines and the piston is designed according to the piston design consideration. The piston is designed using CATIA software. The CAD designed piston is analysed used FEA software ANSYS. The analysis is performed for the piston made of aluminium, brass and bronze under maximum boundary conditions. The structural and thermal analysis is performed on the piston for finding out better performance of the piston. The piston which is designed using CATIA is fabricated on the CNC machines. The CATIA file is imported in into CAM softwares which generates NC part programming for design and is fabricated on CNC machine with direct input of coding.
