Surgical suture material is medical device used in the closure of most wound types. The ideal suture should allow the healing tissue to recover sufficiently to keep the wound closed together once they are removed or absorbed. Application generally involves using a needle with an attached length of thread. A number of different shapes, sizes, and thread materials have been developed over its millennia of history. The textbook Surgical Sutures is a learning textbook intended to serve the needs of several dentists.

Dr. Parul Chhabra completed Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Kurukshetra University in 2011 and went on to complete her Master of Dental Sugery in specialty of Periodontics from PGIMS, Rohtak in 2018. She topped the college and got 4th rank in university in Masters. She is currently doing private practice in Narwana, Haryana.
