This book is written to provide the dental students with a firm foundation in the basics of orthodontic brackets. It contains all the visual and teaching aids necessary for the procedures. These are presented in an easy, orderly and sequential way from the introduction of Pin and Tube to Lingual, Aesthetic, Magnetic, Self - ligating and Customized appliances. Brackets are rapid in pace and play a significant role in the advancement of the Orthodontic field. Though, we all are using recent brackets which are currently available in the market, it is important to know the past history of the brackets which were evolved over a period of time with the great efforts of the distinguished personages of our orthodontic society. This book reviews the history of various orthodontic brackets along with its associated advantages and disadvantages.
