This book encompasses all the techniques that can help in the prevention of orthodontic problems. It includes all procedures that ward off untoward environmental attacks or anything that would change the normal course of events. Thus, prevention is better than cure is apt. as far as the role of preventive orthodontics in dentistry is concerned. Preventive orthodontics, as a discipline encompasses all the necessary steps to provide proper transition of primary to permanent dentition without any problems into proper functional, esthetic and occlusal relationships, thus helping in proper growth and development of the jaws and face in turn. The dentition to start within normal, and it is the goal of the pedodontist to see that it stays that way and entails nipping of the problems in the bud.
