Success of the practice, productivity and patient satisfaction can increase significantly by welcoming technology into practice. Computers are not new but its application in dentistry are. The basic knowledge of computers is more than enough to begin with. Their use provide us with organized practice in both clinical and administrative aspects of dental office. Today everything from record keeping, appointment booking,case history taking, bill generation, finance maintenance, radio-graphic imaging, to treatment planning and procedures has revolutionized to digital technology. Advances in digital imaging, computer aided design, internet communication, digital manufacturing and new materials have undoubtedly simplified the diagnostic process and improved treatment outcomes.
