Recently, Oro-dispersible drug delivery systems are gaining interest in pharmaceutical industry. They offer advantages for patients who have difficulty in swallowing e.g. pediatrics and geriatrics. In addition, pharmaceutical companies are using formulation technologies as a useful tool to maximize product value. In this book we discussed formulation methods and recent taste masking strategies used in the formulation of orodispersible tablets. Furthermore, we have included a research for the formualtion of orodispersible tablets of Prifininm Bromide, an antispasmodic drug, and prepared taste masked formulae using Eudragit E100, B-cyclodextrin and other polymers. A combination of Prifinium Bromide with Diclofenac Sodium, a NSAID drug, was also prepared and the resulted formulae were evaluated.
