From a clinical perspective, the delivery of appropriate force systems during space closure aims at efficient tooth movements and maintenance of anchorage. A good understanding of mechanics is required when using retraction loops or springs,because minor errors in mechanics can result in major errors in tooth movement. This book gives an overview of various loops used for retraction in Orthodontics.
