The prevalence of Type II Diabetes (T2D) in developing countries is increasing at a high rate. The purpose of this study was to assess the modifiable predictors of T2D and variations in predisposing factors among the people living around Lake Victoria region, and in particular to describe variations in dietary factors, physical activity, socio-economic status and prevalence of T2D among two rural communities in the lake Victoria basin

He is a renowned scholar in the area of Exercise science having published in internationally refereed journals. Further he has undertaken research for over 7 years in Kenya and Rwanda in the area of child and maternal nutrition and food security.
