The project is on the assessment of the participation of facility managers in the inception stage of building projects. The problem by the study is the improper designation on the roles of facility managers in the inception stage. The aim of this project work is to investigate the roles Facility Managers play in ensuring the continuous sustainable performance of facilities in FCT Abuja. The objectives of the research were to assess the roles of facility managers in inception stage of building projects, the factors influencing facility managers participation in the inception stage of building project and the benefit of involving facility managers in the inception stage of building projects.
