Tree planation plays various roles for production of timber, fruits restoration of degraded land, protection of environment and solving increased demand of wood supplies etc. However, successful plantation establishment and the trees to grow well and provide you with maximum benefit depends largely on the use of quality seedlings whose morphological and physiological characteristics meet targets associated with favorable growth and survival under an anticipated range of site conditions. However in the Tropics, in addition to the lack of skills and adapted knowledge to supply quality germplasm like seeds, seedlings, cuttings or other propagules; there are poor tree nursery management limiting the tree trees pontial yield. Thus the present book is collections of practical lessons and skills in order to choose and make required treat and maintaine good tree seed germoplasm. In addition, the book also contains nursery establisment and managment skills to raise good tree seedlings for agricultural schools, forest companies and progressive farmers in the tropics.

Holding a master's degree in Agroforestry and Soil management and pursuing a PhD program in Horticulture at European University of Lefke; the Author has been working as Lecturer and Head of Forestry department at University of Rwanda, since 2010. He has conducted researches and participated in various Agroforestry community outreach projects.
