The book provides an in depth review of literature showing the link between home science and science classroom activities. Constructivist theory, theory of conceptual development, collateral learning and experimental learning theory formed the basis for anchorage. Implication of these theories for basic science teaching was highlighted. The concept of science and the nature of science in terms of its three dimensions of process, product and ethics were also highlighted. Home chores with the science teacher can explore for teaching basic science were provided including the strategies for such application. Empirical studies directly or indirectly related to the link between home science and science classroom activities conclude the book with a justification for the text. A Senior Lecturer in the Department of Science Education, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
