Career selection is one of many important choices students will make in determining future plans. This decision will impact them throughout their lives. The essence of who the student is will revolve around what the student wants to do with their life-long work.Some of the factors that were observed to affect career development include personal, educational, and economic factors. These play significant role in the career decision making process of undergraduate students. The implications of these findings were discussed and recommendations made.

Umalakshmi Vallapareddy completed her M.Sc in Physics from Acharya Nagarjuna University in 2005 , M.Phil from Alagappa University in 2008 and PGDHE from IGNOU in 2015. She is working as Assistant professor in Physics at SRR&CVR Government Degree College (A), Vijayawada,A.P , India.
