communicative competence is considered the key to unlock the doors of success. Good communication skill in any language is an asset for an individual. However, communicative competence in English language proves even more beneficial. It is reported by one of the leading newspaper that Individuals who have excellent communication skills in English attain incredible success. English is used as a medium of instruction in many schools in India. The dawn of independence from colonial rule brought with it various reforms in the field of education. These reforms in education stressed on improving the English competency in students at the secondary level. It is expected that by the time a student finishes school, he/she would become an autonomous learner, where adequate competence in language plays a vital role. However, this expectation to a large extent can be met if the learner is provided with an environment which facilitates him/her to develop the required competency in the target language.

Mr. Kalpesh Vitthabhai Patel has done M.A. (English Literature), from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat and M.Ed. from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar. He has offered expert services as an expert in many workshops and academic courses. Producing and implementing innovative teaching learning materials are his interest areas.
