Time delay may be caused by the time needed to transport mass, energy or information, the accumulation of time lags in a great number of low-order systems connected in series or the required processing time for sensors. It is common to find processes that are modeleled using delayed models in process industry such as FOPDT, SOPDT, IPDT, TOPDT, HOPDT, GPTD, etc. This book presents these models and their interconversion at one place.
