Fundamentals of Material Science presents the subject with the aim of providing clear and sufficient understanding of basics of engineering materials and their properties, fundamentals of material science, electrical and optical properties of materials, thermal and magnetic properties of materials, mechanical properties of materials, and to create awareness about the importance of material science in the field of nano science and nano technology.

Dr. Prasad P. is currently working as Professor and Head in the Department of Nano Technology, SIT, Srinivas Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, Karnataka since 2013. He played a key role in establishing the Bachelor Degree in Nano Technology in Karnataka, India. His research interests includes: Nanomaterials, Bio-Polymers/blend, Nanocomposites.
