Beschreibung
Samples of Butea Monosperma petals of known weight with initial moisture content 0.86 to 0.87 were subjected to drying in a microwave oven at five different output powers 20W, 40W, 60W, 80W, 100W. The drying process was carried out till the final moisture content reaches 0.015 to 0.02 on wet basis. The dried petals are then crushed and subjected to soxhlet extraction process. The colour is extracted and anti-oxidity values are Found for naturally dried and different powers of microwave heating samples. Also, the effective diffusivities were determined for Butea Monosperma at different microwave Powers using Ficks equation. The effective diffusivity values increased with increasing microwave power.
