Nanotechnology has been successfully implemented in many applications, such as Nano-electronics, Nano-biomedicine, and Nano-devices also including the Oil and Gas industry. The Nano-technology application have penetrate through different petroleum disciplines from exploration, to reservoir characterization, drilling, cementing, production and stimulation, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), refining and processing and also anti corrosions. For example, Nano-sensors allow for precise measurement of reservoir conditions. Nano-fluids prepared using functional Nano-material may exhibit better performance in oil production processes, and Nano-catalysts have improved the efficiency in oil refining and petrochemical processes. Nano-membranes enhance oil, water and gas separation, oil and gas purification, and the removal of impurities from wastewater. Functional Nano-materials can play an important role in the production of smart, reliable, and more durable equipment.
