The phenomenal rise in thin film researches is due to their extensive applications in diverse fields of electronics, optics, space science, aircrafts, defense and other industries. These investigations have led to abundant inventions in form of active devices and passive components, piezoelectric devices, micro miniaturization of power supply, rectification and amplification, sensor elements, storage of solar energy and its conversion to other forms, magnetic memories, super conducting films interference filters, reflecting and antireflection coatings, and many others. Further, because of compactness, better performance and reliability coupled with the low cost production and low package weight, thin film devices and components are preferred over their bulk counterparts. The main purpose of this book is to present preparation, structural, electrical, thermoelectrical and optical properties of Cd1-xSbxSe thin films.

Dr. Dhananjay Gujarathi is renowned Associate Professor and researcher in Physics. He has published various research papers and books on solar cell, crystal growth, thin films and optics in international and National Journals and Academic Publishers. He is currently serving as a Asso. Prof. at Autonomous Pratap College, Amalner, Maharashtra India.
