Ara Sergey Avetisyan was born on September 14, 1958, in Talin, Republic of Armenia.He was Candidate of physical and mathematical sciences (1986), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1998), Corresponding Member of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (2006), Professor at Yerevan State University (2010), and Editor-in-Chief of Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia 'Mechanics' (2005-2017).
