Piezosurgery is relatively new painless surgical technique, which can be used in a variety of surgical procedure to complement traditional oral surgical procedures, and in some cases, replace traditional procedures. It appears to be an advanced and conservative tool when compared with existent traditional methods for the treatment of bone and soft tissues. There has been extensive research on indications of piezosurgery in the field of periodontology and implantology.
