Mechanical plaque control methods are ideal means to control plaque. There are various ways to control plaque mechanically. With the advent of technology, newer methods of plaque control are available. However, their use is limited by general population due to lack of knowledge and awareness. The review throws light into the different aspects, emphasizing on the various advantages and disadvantages of numerous methods of plaque control methods. Hence,it provides excellent opportunity to promote the various mechanical means of plaque control.

Dr. Sandeep Kumar completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Bharti Vidyapeeth University and Masters in Dental Surgery from Manipal University in 2012.He also completed his Fellowship in Academy of General Education (FAGE) from Manipal University. Thereafter, he joined a private institution in Indore and is working there till date.
