The objective of reconstruction in maxillofacial region is to re-establish ordinary contour, work, comfort, feel, discourse and wellbeing. Loss of numerous structures makes this objective challenging. An implant is a natural or alloplastic biomaterial precisely embedded into hard or delicate tissue for capacity or corrective purposes. This book explains various aspects of reconstruction in maxillofacial region using implants.
