Maxillary sinuses are pyramidal shaped cavities located around the nose. They are the largest of all the paranasal sinuses. Sinusitis is the most common complication of common cold. Maxillary sinus disorders may mimic pain of dental origin, thus dentist must be aware ,of the maxillary sinus disorders in order to plan proper treatment plan.In order to understand proper diagnosis, treatment modalities of the disorders related to the maxillary sinus and to treat the complications in this area, the anatomy of this region as well as the radiology of the maxillary sinus must be well known.
