The focus of this book is the evolution of the global financial markets during the post-World War II period. The oil shock of 1973 was a seismic economic event that affected the global economy and financial markets. Unprecedented capital mobility linked national financial markets into ever more closely integrated global financial system after 1980. While financial globalization proliferated broadly, it did not proliferate evenly. There are marked differences in the extent of integration around the globe. This book succinctly dwells on these and related themes. The target readership of this book is graduate and undergraduate students in international finance, international economics and business schools.
Autorenporträt
Professor Dilip K. Das was educated at the graduate Institute of International Studies, University of Geneva, Switzerland, where he did his Ph.D. in international economics. He is presently Professor of International Finance and International Banking and Director of the Institute of Asian Business, SolBridge International School of Business.
