Endodontically treated teeth are not seldomly planned to receive fixed prosthodontic treatment. They quite often require support and retention from the root by means of a post restoration in addition to that afforded by the retained coronal structures. This book presents the guidelines for the most effective fixed restorative treatment modality of endodontically treated maxillary incisors. A major part of this book compares the influence o the fracture resistance and the failure mode of the employed root posts, cast metal and prefabricated quartz fiber post types. Other major part of the book describes the critical effect of the presence and location, relative to tooth circumference, of the retained coronal dentine on fracture strength of restored endodonticallt treated maxillary incisors.
