The book as its name suggests is an Overview of Enamel Defects and its management. Dental enamel is the hardest tissue in the body and consists of over 98% mineral and less than 2% organic matrix and water. Hence it is susceptible to get affected during its maturation process. This book consists mainly the Developmental defects of enamel (DDE) that are - hypoplasia and of diffuse and demarcated opacities. Fluorosis, amelogenesis imperfecta (AI), and even dentinogenesis imperfecta (DI) may be considered forms of Developmental Defects of Enamel. This book refreshes the reader's knowledge about the various etiologies and syndromes associated with enamel defects. It also has complete compilation of various classifications and indices of enamel defects along with its clinical and histological evaluation. Lastly the book provides updated EVIDENCE BASED treatment plans for enamel defects depending upon the severity and location of the lesion that will help the clinician for better choice of material pertaining to the specialized Case.
