This research touches the latest aspects of the dental caries. Since the time caries were understood there has been an upgradation in the methodology for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the carious lesion. Lately more stress is given to prevent caries rather than extensive treatment. Technology has given birth to a plethora of diagnostic tools as well as methods of prevention. However, the upgradation has neither ended nor will ever do. Combined efforts of all of us can one day lead us to an era where there are no caries.

I am Dr Richa Agarwal, M.D.S 2nd year student at the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Subharti Dental College, Meerut. I completed my graduation from the same college in the year 2011. I am involved in the research work in the field.
