It gives me immense pleasure that the first edition of Pharmaceutical Product Development manual is published. I am sure this practical manual will prove useful to teachers, students and working pharmacists throughout the world. This manual includes twelve experiments covering various solubility enhancement programs, accelerated stability studies, shelf life assignment, dissolution and diffusion studies, testing the degradation of compound using chromatography, drug excipient interaction studies by FTIR spectroscopy and a neat product development protocol preparation on preformulation studies. It will be helpful to the students as after finishing their experiments they can compare their results with the manual's original results for verification. I am highly thankful to my co author Dr.M.Sudhakar for the encouragement, sincere guidance and involvement in making the manual from time to time. My thanks are also to Lap Lambert academic publising company for their interest in publishing this manual. Valuable suggestions and criticism from teachers, students and working pharmacists for further improvement in the quality of this manual will be thankfully received and acknowledged.

I am a doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences, specialized in pharmaceutics. I am deeply committed to undergraduate and post graduate teaching and research from past 10 years. Successes of my research include 20 research publications with good indexing and impact factor and 6 research presentations in international conferences.
