Seasonal variation and environmental conditions have a profound effect on the essential oil content and biomass yield of the plant. The present investigation may be desirable for various plant-based industries those use geranium oil as their main ingredient isolated from Pelargonium graveolens. It is cultivated and grown widely in tropical and subtropical climates. There are no such study reports available so far those indicate specific ideal eco-geographical and seasonal conditions indicating the optimum condition for the best yield of geraniol content in its volatile oil. Geranium oil has large commercial application mainly in perfumery and cosmetic based industry, the optimization of the area and time of collection with respect to quality and marker content of oil will be useful for industries involved in the usage of geranium oil.
