The current rersearch in y/ T cells presented here exemplifies that our knowledge of this cell population in the immune system is steadily increasing. To convert today's vision on function and specificity of y/ T cells into accepted conclusions, additional effort, scientific exchange and cooperative studies carried out with a wide spectrum of techniques are required.
