Sub clinical endometritis is an emerging disease and considered as one of the major causes of repeat breeding in cattle leading to increased conception to calving interval. An effective easy method to diagnose endometritis is the need of the hour. Hence the present study was undertaken to compare the five different diagnostic tests for diagnosis of the sub clinical endometritis. Based on the present study it can be concluded that endometrial cytology and leucocyte esterase strip test can be used to diagnose SEND under field conditions.

Dr.U.S.Kalyaan has completed his masters in the field of Animal Reproduction, Gynecology and Obstetrics at Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS, India. He worked on "DIAGNOSIS OF SUB-CLINICAL ENDOMETRITIS IN CATTLE USING DIFFERENT DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES". He is currently working in ameleorative measures for nutritional infertility in cattle.
