The recent history of medical evidence has revealed numerous twists and turns, particularly in relation to alternative and chiropractic healthcare. Several of these turns defy logic or are in need of substantial correction, discussed with numerous references in these pages. In many instances there has been a suppression of noteworthy evidence, such that the purpose of this book is simply to level the playing field instead of the patient. Evidence-based medicine continues to grow and become more refined, hopefully with the recognition of issues raised by the author.

Anthony Rosner is a champion of interdisciplinary research methodology in the health sciences, having previously served as Research Director at numerous nonprofit foundations. His activities with alternative medicine are grounded in his training and doctorate in orthodox medical sciences at Harvard, as well as his laboratory research.
