Collagen is the unique, triple helical protein molecules which form the major part of the extracellular matrix. It is the most abundant protein in the human body representing 30%of dry weight and is important in health because it characterize the structure of skin, connective tissues, tendons, bones and cartilage. As collagen form building block of body structure, any defect in collagen results in disorders In this book we have focused on classification, pathogenesis of collagen disorder, clinical and oral manifestations, histopathology, diagnosis and treatment. Certainly, such information will contribute in understanding various disorders.

She did MDS in Oral Pathology from Shree Bankey Bihari Dental College and Research Centre, Ghaziabad (U.P). She has worked in Army base hospital, Delhi Cantt and R&R Hospital, Dhaula Kuan as dental surgeon for 2-3 years. She has presented several papers and publications to her credit. Presently she is working in Surendra Dental College.
