Beschreibung
Obstructive jaundice is more common among female, benign causes outnumbered malignant causes. Benign jaundice is prevalent in middle aged patients while malignant causes in older age group. Choledocholithiasis is the commonest cause of obstructive jaundice and metastatic gall bladder carcinoma is the commonest malignant etiology. USG, ERCP, MRCP and CT scan are important investigations to diagnose the causative factors of obstructive jaundice.

Dr. Md. Fardhus was born in Hizla, Barishal on 2nd May, 1972. He got his Medical graduation (MBBS) from Sher-E-Bangla Medical College under Univ. of Dhaka on May, 1997 and obtained Post Graduate Fellowship (FCPS) from BCPS & MS on General Surgery from Dhaka Medical College under Univ. of Dhaka on 2015. He has 5 publications in the National Journal.
