The enrichment of human life has been influenced to a large extent by mutual interaction between Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering. The concept of thermoelasticity which forms the central theme of this book, finds its roots and application in above branches.Thermoelastic behavior of different geometric structures are discussed in depth with respect to the thermal displacement, thermal stresses and strain. Functionally Graded Materials which are gaining popularity as a high thermal stress bearing materials are also discussed in this book. The mathematical approach for thermoelastic problems may be of immense help for those students, researchers and teachers pursuing work on thermoelasticity.
