Beschreibung

TD-SCDMA is an abbreviation for Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access. It is a 3G (3rd generation) standard proposed by China as a possible IMT-2000 candidate and submitted to the ITU in 1998. Unlike other 3G standards such as WCDMA and CDMA2000 which are well known in different international literature around the world, TD-SCDMA has not been presented in many references that dealt with other 3G standards in general. This book shows how TD-SCDMA solved many of the issues faced with other 3G competing standards and aims to introduce all the aspects pertaining to TD-SCDMAs development over the years. It also discusses how the network can be implemented in the city of Sanaa using the RF planning software, Atoll, in four different stages to guarantee a safe deployment of the standard. It also discusses the results of the simulation after planning the TD-SCDMA network and how different factors can affect the capacity and coverage of the system. Finally, some final remarks were added in order to give future readers more insight into which parts to tackle when researching a similar topic.
