Beschreibung

This study was carried out elucidate immune system modulation among neonates whom their mothers affected with malaria during pregnancy. From Khartoum state, peripheral blood Samples collected from mothers and cord blood for neonates, cells cultured and stimulated with MSP-1 malaria antigens and IL-10 and total IgG anti- MSP1-19 and also serum from cord blood separated for serum transferrin receptors. And result showed Antibodies MSP119 total from multigravidae were significant higher than primigravidae and grandmultigravidae with different degree of exposure. Decreased exposure to P.falciparum infection had no significant impact on antibodies levels as the primigravidae show higher levels of MSP119 reactive antibodies. Target antigen function in protect against neonatal malaria remain to be sequences of MSP1 to be involve in detected, one of this antigen is P. falciparum.
