Light emitting organic metal complexes are the important electronics materials of 21st century. Luminescent organic metal complexes have attracted a great attention in the electronic industries because of their potential applications in organic light emitting devices shortly known as OLEDs. These materials find applications in electronic technological fields especially in flat panel display technology.Electroluminescent materials made of organic metal complexes require a small amount of energy to emit light i.e. operate at low voltages. These materials are widely used for applications such as decorating panels, car dashboards, traffic sign, billboards etc.The advantages of using organic materials over inorganic materials are their excellent color gamut with good light fluorescence efficiency. Many materials show intense photoluminescence with near unity quantum yield. This book may serve for the detailed knowledge of all above mentioned facts in detail.
