This book covers various aspects of the catalytic carbonylation reactions. It includes both the review on the modern catalytic methods for carbonylation of aryl halides and also the results of the studies done by the authors. The present work is a prolific attempt to demonstrate our contribution to the area of carbonylation reactions using environmentally acceptable protocols. The main theme of research work was the development of novel and greener catalytic method for the wider substrate configuration. High priority for the replacement of phospine based protocols. Use of structurally well defined o-containing complex, ligand-free reactions in water and heterogeneous Pd catalyst was the major aspect of the present work.

Dr. Pawan J. Tambade has completed his doctorate from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai under the guidance of Prof. Bhalchandra Bhanage. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in Chemistry at MVP Samaj's Arts, Comm. & Science College, Nandgaon, Nashik. He has 32 International research publications to his credit.
