Study of the applicability of Quasicrystals Al - Cu - Fe in catalytic reactions in oxidation of methanol. Lourdes Cristina Lucena Agostinho Jamshidi, doctoral student in Chemical Engineering at Federal University of Pernambuco- UFPE, with an area of research in heterogeneous catalysis, in the production of catalysts less environmental impacts. Developing in research with reactions catalysts (Methanol Steam Reform to produce Hydrogen, Dehydration of methanol in dimethyl ether. These two projects are applied to the petrochemical industry. Master in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Materials Science. Reza Jamshidi Rodbari. Doctoral student in Materials Science at the Federal University of Pernambuco-UFPE, MS in Materials Science at the Federal University of Pernambuco-UFPE. Currently developing researches with graphene oxide and nanostructured metal alloys, for the production of electronic sensors and biological sensors, super capacitors and catalysts for industrial electronics and petrochemicals. This book is a realization of a research development of the two authors. In this book, it is presented a systematic discussion and the applicability of quasicrystals.
