Kinetics has played vital role in the development of chemistry. Chemical kinetics is gaining importance in pure and applied fields. It helps to find out optimum conditions required to get the value added desired products. 1, 4-Benzothiazines are known for their utility as dyestuff's, photographic developers, ultraviolet light absorbers and antioxidants. The synthetic, biological, chemical, physical and spectral aspects of 1, 4-benzothiazines are well reviewed. These multifarious applications of 1, 4-benzothiazines have prompted to pay attention on the studies directed towards their chemistry and biodynamicity. It has been found that there are various synthetic methods for obtaining value added 1, 4-benzothiazines. The details of these methods have been incorporated in this book. It has also been noticed that there is a scope to provide novel synthetic protocol for 1, 4-benzothiazines and also to optimize cyclocondensation conditions to provide cost effective reaction protocol for existing method and which may be used widely.
