In the field of wrestling only few skill tests were available to evaluate the skill performance of wrestling players. So the author had undertaken the study to develop the skill test of free Style Wrestling Game for Junior Level Male Wrestlers. The objective of the study was to construct and standardize "Test" for selection, evaluation, and assessment of performance of wrestlers. The study was confined for the 55kg weight category junior level male freestyle wrestling players from Pune District. This book is an attempt to analyze important basic skill used by junior male wrestling player of 55 kg weight category with help of experts from wrestling field. The newly designed skill test were administered on Junior male wrestling player of 55 kg weight category from various clubs and practice houses in Pune and test was revised, after some modification the test was finalized. The norms of Head Lock Hip Toss Test can be useful to assess the skill of junior level male wrestling player of 55 kg weight category.

Dr. Dnyaneshwar H.Mane has obtained his Ph.D degree in Physical Education in 2015 and is a Director of Physical Education at MIT Group of Institutions MACS College,Pune,India. He was National level wrestling player and the author of several articles published in reputed journals. He has been awarded nationally for his teaching contribution.
