Its principles and ideas are used to produce the chemicals from which all manner of materials and eventually consumer products are manufactured. The diversity of examples is enormous, which are so widely used in the packaging of consumer goods and in the manufacture of household items as well life.

The author Rakesh R. Giri holds masters in chemistry (Organic Chemistry) from Department of Chemistry, Sardar Patel University. The author has been awarded PhD for the thesis submitted by him entitled 'Studies on the synthesis and antimicrobial efficiency of some coumarin derivatives containing modified pyridine, bipyridine and pyrazole moieties'.
