This book is emphasis on synthesis of novel ion exchange resins and their application. Due to industrialization, deforestation and amore civilization of the environment disturbances. More particularly of water resources increased pollution. Pertinent to mineral processing and metal finishing industries produce large amount of waste water effluents containing toxic metal ions such as chromium, cadmium, lead, arsenic etc. Due to their toxicity and tendency to bioaccumulation, metal ion concentration in such contaminated water needs to be reduced to lethal dose. Thus it is time to develop new technologies for more highly specific metal ion recovery processes.

Dr. Jayesh M Shah is working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry at Shree Bhavan's I.L.Pandya Arts-Science and Smt. J.M.Shah Commerce College, Dakor:388225 which is affiliated to Sardar Patel University, V.V.Nagar, Gujarat, India. He has been working in the area of Ion-Exchange resins and Hetero cyclic Chemistry for last 10 years.
